Free Community Seminar on Type 2 Diabetes Treatment

The San Ramon Regional Medical Center is presenting a free community seminar, “Advances in Type 2 Diabetes Treatment.” 

The seminar will be held in the South Conference Room in the South Building located on the hospital campus at 7777 Norris Canyon Road, San Ramon.

Endocrinologist, Ammar Qoubaitary, M.D., will speak on advances in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, including new medications, and drugs that can improve glycemic control and promote weight loss. He will discuss risk factors and symptoms of Type 2 diabetes, and how it increases risks for other serious health complications. Learn how changes in diet and increased physical activity may prevent Type 2 diabetes.

Certified Diabetes Educator, Barbara Reis, R.D., will discuss the services offered through the hospital’s Diabetes Management Program, which is recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Certificate for a quality diabetes self-management education program.
