City to Hold Elections in November; Candidate Orientations Planned This Week

The elections will be for the mayoral seat and two city council seats. Nomination period will be held July 15 to Aug. 9.

San Ramon will hold its Municipal Election on November 5, 2013.

The Municipal Election will be for three seats on the City Council: the Mayor and two City Councilmembers.

The Candidate’s Nomination Period opens on July 15, 2013 and closes on August 9, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.

If one of the incumbents does not file by August 9, the Nomination Period closing date will be extended for 5 days to August 14, 2013. Please contact the City Clerk’s office at 973-2539 for additional information. 

Are you registered to vote? New residents, as well as residents who will be 18 before the election, are encouraged to register. You need to re-register to vote when: you move; change your name; or change your political party affiliation.

Voter Registration forms are available at the City Clerk’s office and the public libraries or you can register online at www.sos.ca.gov/elections/registerto-vote. The Contra Costa County Elections Department website, www.cocovote.us, has complete information on voter registration, absentee ballots, poll locations, and election results.
