San Ramon Man Worried About Korean Schoolchildren on Asiana Flight 214

James White told KCBS he was there to pick up some children visiting the Bay Area.

A San Ramon man identified by KCBS as James White was among the many people waiting in fear at SFO Saturday afternoon.

White, who along with his wife was at the airport awaiting the arrival of Asiana Flight 214, was experiencing everyone's worst nightmare: The crash of a plane that you're awaiting.

The sadness in White's voice on the radio was clear. He said he was at SFO to pick up some South Korean schoolchildren visiting the area and, beyond seeing the smoky wreckage, knew nothing of their fate.

According to news reports, at least two of the 10 people listed in critical condition were children, and more than 60 people were unaccounted for. Two people were killed in the crash.
