Although born and raised in Castro Valley, I spent most of my late teens and early 20's in Santa Barbara attending college and experiencing 'life'. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCSB and returned to the Bay Area to study Education at California State, East Bay, where I received my Single Subject credential in Mathematics. I've been with Wells since I began teaching in 2004. 
I have a four year old son who motivates me every day to be the best version of myself possible.  I just recently started running (I always think of Forrest Gump when I say that, I just felt like run-ning!), and am training for my first half marathon in March. I have recently rediscovered the joy of reading, and am currentling enjoying Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. My motto this year is "Be positive, be patient, and always perservere!"
