Bio: Chris McLaughlin has been gardening for over 30 years and is a garden author, writer, and blogger. She's written three books to date: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Composting (Alpha 2010), The Complete Idiot's Guide to Heirloom Vegetables (Alpha, 2010), and Hobby Farms: Small-Scale Rabbit Keeping (BowTie Press, January 2012).
Her current project is The Complete Idiot's Guide to Small-Space Gardening (Alpha 2012). Chris' garden articles can be found in magazines such as Urban Farm , The Herb Companion , and The Heirloom Gardener.
Currently, Chris is a staff blogger for Vegetable Gardener.com, Blissfully Domestic.com, and The Dirt. When time allows, she goes on and on about micro-farming at her website A Suburban Farmer.com and profiles indoor gardening at The Savvy Plant.com.
Chris became a Master Gardener in 2000 and teaches kids about gardening and wildlife. She recently relocated with her family in the California Gold Country where she gardens and writes from their hobby farm, Hawk Hill.
