It is undergoing major construction (with Measure A funding) to appropriately serve its rapidly growing student population.

First opened in 2005, Windemere Ranch Middle School is one of the eight middle schools in the San Ramon ValleyMore Unified School District. The school was designed as a state-of-the-art middle school and is equipped with five science lab classrooms, a computer and video production classroom, an arts classroom, instrumental and vocal music rooms, an advanced technology classroom, media center/library and full gym and locker room facilities for both boys and girls. Parent participation in the school's development is highly encouraged and the Parent Teacher Student Association and the Education Fund are active in supporting school programs.

It was recently named a California Distinguished School. Dave Bolin serves as Principal.

Located in the hills above Interstate 680, Bollinger Canyon Elementary School serves the community of San Ramon.More Established in 1980 and remodeled in 2006, the school serves Pre-K through 5th grade. The enrollment of 520 students reflect the rapid growth of Bollinger's surrounding area. The principal of this school is Shawn Wells. The school colors are blue and gold and the school mascot is the bulldog. It's mission is to provide a safe learning environment where academic excellence and individual differences are valued and encouraged.
Iron Horse Middle School

The principal is Michelle Cooper. The teachers have an average of 12 years teaching experience.

The Child Day Schools

The Child Day Schools is an education and childcare organization originally founded by Executive Director AnneMore Whitehead in 1976. The San Ramon School is one of five school locations in the East Bay and was first opened in 1983.

It provides a child-care program featuring active learning time, small group activities, a consistent daily routine and music, and movement activities. Programs are designed to be developmentally appropriate and are available before, after and during school hours.

The San Ramon campus offers Toddler and Infant, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and After School programs.  Ruth Valdes is director of the San Ramon school.

Walt Disney Elementary School

In 1974, Disney students were housed at Neil Armstrong School while awaiting completion of this facility. The districtMore had asked the students who would attend the new school to select a name. The criteria for the name selection was that this be an American hero. The students voted to name the new school after Walt Disney, the man who had brought so many wonderful children's films into   Disney School serves the southeast portion of the City of San Ramon. The school serves grade levels K-5.  The principal is Joe Nguyen.
Quail Run Elementary School

Quail Run Elementary opened the doors of its new campus in the fall of 2006. This school serves grades K-5More and is one of 13 elementary schools in San Ramon. The school is in the Gale Ranch community of the Dougherty Valley. The instructors provide reading and writing lessons based on the Teacher's College of Columbia University model.  The principal is Carol Loflin.
