There is no plan to remove trees in DV. The San Ramon City staff presented an informational reportRead More at the January 22, 2013 City Council Meeting (Item 10.2) concerning tree management in San Ramon’s Dougherty Valley. The report included a presentation from a consulting arborist (Tree Associates) to look at long-term maintenance, sustainability, and neighborhood preservation in San Ramon’s Dougherty Valley. The City of San Ramon strives to look forward and anticipate what issues may need to be addressed in the future so that the high quality of the community can be maintained. There are no plans being considered by the City Council, existing approvals, or funding to remove thousands of Sycamore trees in San Ramon’s Dougherty Valley. We do need to develop a plan to deal with the damage the roots are causing to utility systems, sidewalks and streets. To have no plan to deal with these issues would be irresponsible. The costs projected by the report were in the millions if NOTHING was done in the near term to address the problems. Let's address the problems now BEFORE the expnce goes WAY UP.

While there are problematic Sycamore trees in San Ramon, as I am experiencing in my Dougherty ValleyRead More neighborhood, it appears irresponsible to make a decision to strip our community of thousands of trees at the cost of $10 million. Who authorized these trees when the developer planted them? When are the developers to be held responsible? This city council appears to care very little about the desires of the voters. They have self-serving interests. I would be interested to know who would be getting this big contract to remove and replace healthy trees. Has this already been determined? So many questions and so few answers. This voter feels suspicious about all of this.

We pay $150/month for extended service. We have a large front and back yard with many plants. JoseRead More Ruiz has been working our last 3 properties. He cuts, deadheads, plants, digs up old plants, will prune, fertilize and everything. Spends about 1-1/2 to 2 hrs every other week here. We had another guy temporarily at $50/mo who came every other week, but the service was not up to par. You do get what you pay for.

We pay $125.00 per month. The service entails about an hour a week, cutting lawns, trimming bushes,Read More blowing off all walkways and fertilizing. They allow 1 small extra job each week. Sprinkler repair, tree pruning or small tree removal etc.

Sure it's great for the Congressman to get a Senior member of Congress to endorse you. But, as aRead More voter, I am turned off by career politicians that play games - I wouldn't hold this against the Congressman, but I wouldn't actively seek or promote political endorsements; the people matter, not politicians!

I love this new system pinning Democrat against Democrat. Let them bleed themselves dry in theseRead More races and tear each other to shreds.

For a Democrat, Swalwell is 1/3 decent (get rid of the Democrat moniker and become an independent toRead More get to 50% decent). He's about 1000% better than the senile old man he replaced. If I was Swalwell I'd decline the endorsement of the senile old woman who's only goal in life is to screw the voters and get rich while doing it.

My house backs up to Cross Road. I can't wait to set up a couple of chairs and sit outside with myRead More ice tea and snacks and watch the race go by with my family. I will be avoiding downtown completely but still get to see the race.
