The land next to Coyote Creek is no longer being used for a middle school but instead more houses.Read More Traffic is horrible around Coyote Creek during school pick up and drop off times. I imagine that with more homes, it will become even worse.
Rick April 30, 2013 at 07:51 pm
There was a planned middle school next to Coyote Creek but not sure about it now. Although the landRead More is still vacant.

How about a middle school instead to accommodate all the kids that will be comming out of theRead More elementary schools?

"evaluating how well schools educated black, Hispanic and poor students" Like Hiten VasaRead More said, demographics...
Carla April 24, 2013 at 11:37 am
I agree! Our house value just increased (again) due to this article. Woot!

These rankings are askewed and do not reflect the real scenario. Maybe a boost in making the RealRead More Estate ask for a higher price . . . . The demographics - Asians - of the community show for higher SAT scores . . . . Prepared graduates for college : This school is only few years old, so sample size is irrelevant . . . . One more example of " Lies, damned lies and Statistics ".

I'd also like to add the names of the other San Ramon schools that were omitted from the article:Read More Charlotte Wood Middle School, Diablo Vista Middle School and Gale Ranch Middle School. Kudos to them all including IHMS and WRMS.

I really hope they are able to find some prints or some way to identify the vandals. I think it isRead More such a shame that equipment used by students who are involved in a sports activity was destroyed -- most likely by other students who are involved in nothing. I hope Patch will let us know if the school is holding a fundraiser for any additional costs (installation, moving from Monte Vista, etc.). Good for Monte Vista on being such good neighbors.

That's really sad that someone would destroy something like that! Just speechless !!!

I completely disagree with you. This program has a huge impact on the students and is worth everyRead More penny. I hope they do it for many years to come.

I went to this when I went to san ramon. Wow what a joke and tremendous waste of money. Look at allRead More the proud contributors eager for recocgnition. Children in the towns that surround danville don't even have the chance at a decent education and the people of danville would rather waste thouusands of dollars just to stage the fake deaths of the most cookie cutter kids at school. Time to wake up and dig deep for an empathetic bone in our bodies.

For those interested in how much money goes to California education system from the CaliforniaRead More Lottery please see the following link. One needs to remember, when the lottery started and made the promise that funds would roll to education, the lottery commision could not dictate how the funds were spent. Instead of becoming "extra" money, the lottery proceeds become budgeted income. Just think where your property taxes would be without the money flowing from the lottery. http://www.calottery.com/giving-back/how-much-money

I believe when asked to donate you are giving parents a choice. I choose to donate supplies to myRead More kids teacher. The donation truly only helps invest in my kids future and their education. Donations are exactly that a free choice to help or not help out your kids class.

What's really sad is that the adults of today who don't want to fund education were the kids of theRead More past who benefited from a society that was willing to pay for it. So they got theirs but don't want to pay it forward. That's pretty selfish. And I know all you tea-baggers will get on here saying things like "that wasn't my choice" when you were a kid but nonetheless you still took advantage of it.

Charge illegal aliens to educate their children and your budget problem is solved.

...and the coaches seem to look the other way.

Personally, until both teams can be taught that character counts, I think both teams should be shutRead More down. A few years ago, some of the Varsity Cheerleaders were caught in illegal activity at Nationals and ruined it for everyone. Thankfully, they were kicked off the team. Just last week I heard a disturbing derogatory comment from an overly involved cheer parent about the "looks" of this year's dance team. Apparently, they aren't pretty enough. And so DebCalHighCheer Supporter, when I hear those classless comments from obviously jealous parents, and witness this behavior, I question where the respect is that you speak of. And yes, it goes both ways. My daughter was on the dance team and the only other time I've ever witnessed such boorish behavior from others was from school bullies...the only difference being that it is repulsively condoned by the adults from both teams.
