Week Ahead: Chicken Crafts, Family Improv, Learning Native Plants


Contra Costa Children's Chorus Auditions

This internationally known chorus is recognized for excellence in vocal training and performance skills.  There are choir levels for boys & girls ages 6-16 yrs., with local performances and touring opportunities for advanced choirs.
When: Wednesday, January 8 at 4 p.m.
Where: Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1035 Carol Lane, Lafayette

Native Plants: A Sense of Place

The California Native Plant Society encourages gardening with natives as part of its overall conservation strategy. This presentation by members of CNPS Bay Area Chapter will present native plants that are especially well-suited to our East Bay climate.
When: Thursday, January 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Diablo Theatre Company Presents 'A Chorus Line'

Diablo Theatre Company's STARS 2000 Teen Theatre Presents "A Chorus Line"

Chicken Tales at Forest Home Farms

Stop by to hear some chicken tales, make a chicken craft and meet the chickens that live here on the farm. You can also learn about eggs, discover how these birds take a bath without water and how some people are bringing a piece of farming to their homes with backyard chickens. 
When: Saturday, Jan 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Forest Home Farms, 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd.
Cost: Free activities. Tours are $5 per person

Family-Friendly Improv

This family friendly show is completely made up on the spot based on audience suggestions. Best of all, kids will have opportunities to participate and a chance to be on stage and take part in the fun. 
When: Sunday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m.
