Valley Humane Society Featured on Hoarding Program Wednesday

Animal Planet's "Confessions: Animal Hoarding" will feature staffers rescuing 10 dogs.

Valley Humane Society will be featured on Animal Planet's "Confessions: Animal Hoarding" television program Wednesday night at 10 p.m.

Staffer said the filming took place earlier this year, when the shelter rescued 10 dogs from a hoarding situation.

The episode is called "My Truck's Filled with Dogs," and the following is how the Animal Planet website describes the show: "A hoard of over 130 rabbits have chewed a home to shreds. A man has begun living in his pickup truck to keep his 13 dogs from being seized."

Bonnel said the footage will show the dogs' owner surrendering the animals, and then will show veterinarians checking their health and looking for signs of aggressive behavior.

Once they determine everything is OK, the pets will be put up for adoption.
