Two Sweet Dogs Need One Loving Home

Two dogs left homeless after their owner passed away are hoping a family will welcome them into their home and adopt them both.

We all know the saying that some things just belong together; peanut butter and jelly, sand and the beach, Disneyland and Mickey Mouse. Such is the case with two of our sweet dogs who desperately need a home. Meet Margie and Ollie.

When we say they go together, we really mean it. Ollie is a little shy and depends on Margie a lot to feel comfortable. At the last adoption event a couple took Ollie out of the pen to visit and Margie watched his every move.

Here at Stonecliffe Animal Rescue we'll be the first to tell you that finding a home for any dog is top priority. And sadly, that means even if they have to be separated. But that's why we're writing... and hoping... and dreaming. Margie and Ollie belong together, they deserve to find a loving home together and we're hoping that by telling their story someone somewhere will adopt them both.

At one time, Margie and Ollie had a loving home and owner. Sadly, the two lost their owner (an older woman) when she passed away earlier this year. Without any friends or family to take them in, Margie and Ollie ended up in a shelter and Stonecliffe came and picked them up. Their worlds have been turned upside down and the two are looking for a permanent new home to call their own.

They're both house trained and extremely well mannered. Although they don't do well around cats, they love children and would fit in well with a family looking for two smaller, loving dogs. They are Brussels Griffon mixes and are between 2 and 3 years old. Both are microchipped and up to date on all of their shots.

While having two dogs means more work, it also means some things are just easier. They won't ever get lonely because they have each other, they won't have separation anxiety and they're ready and willing to give twice the love. And we bet that the lucky family who takes them in will be so blessed to have two dogs who are equally thankful to remain together for the rest of their lives.

Finding a home for any dog is challenging. Finding a home for two is even harder. But we're determined to continue spreading the word about this dynamic duo and hope you'll help us. Do you have room in your heart for a pair of loving dogs? Know someone who might be a good fit for Margie and Ollie?

Stonecliffe Animal Rescue will hold an adoption event Sunday, 9/17 from 11am to 3pm at Petsmart in Dublin. Click here to read more about each dog and feel free to contact us with any questions. You can also find us on Facebook.
