Stonecliffe Animal Rescue is giving Patch readers four paws up! Why? Because thanks to YOU a dynamic duo of dogs now has a forever home.
Last week we introduced you to Margie and Ollie: two Brussels Griffon mixes looking for a forever home after their owner had passed away and they ended up in a shelter. We were overwhelmed with the number of people who commented on our blog and shared their story on Facebook. And after all that sharing -- with your family, friends, neighbors and anyone who would listen -- we are thrilled to tell you that Margie and Ollie found a forever hom. Together. Just as it was meant to be.
It turns out that a Patch reader was so touched by their story that she encouraged her mom to come and meet them. They fell in love after spending some time together at our recent adoption event and the rest is history. We've included a photo of Margie and Ollie and their new forever family who happens to live in Livermore. So, if you see them around town feel free to say hi. And, know that their story has a happy ending. A beautiful, loving ending which we at Stonecliffe know is just the beginning of a new and happy chapter of their lives.
But the story just gets better. Another family came a few hours after Margie and Ollie had been adopted to meet them, as well. We broke the news to them that the two had found a home together and they were thrilled for the dogs. After also reading our blog on Patch, the idea of adopting two dogs had really reasonated with this family and they started looking at some of the other dogs we have up for adoption.
That's when this family (also Livermore residents) found the two dogs that touched their hearts. A one-year-old terrier mix named Margot and a terrier puppy that had been one of a litter of five. Their two young children were thrilled with their new family members. After completing the paperwork they shopped inside for new leashes, crates and toys.
We know this is just the beginning of a new, fun filled life for these two pups, as well. In fact, the kids even mentioned how excited they were to be able to take them home. It was something they really didn't even have to say because their smiles said it all.
Four dogs found two loving, caring and welcoming homes this past Saturday and it's because of you. Thank you for sharing their story, for caring enough to help them find a forever home and for loving these dogs as much as we do.
Stonecliffe Animal Rescue will hold another adoption event Saturday, 10/7 from 11am to 3pm at Petsmart in Dublin. Click here to read more about the dogs we have up for adoption and feel free to contact us with any questions. You can also find us on Facebook.
And stayed tuned! We will share the story of another one of our awesome dogs before the next adoption event.
