Video: A Desperate Need for Foster Homes

Have a warm home and room in your heart to help foster? We're in desperate need of foster homes for puppies we recently rescued.

It's that time of year when we all reflect on how thankful we are. We're thankful for loving family and friends, awesome volunteers and among many other things, we're thankful for all those who have adopted any of our dogs this year.

We're also so thankful for anyone willing to step up and say the words, "I'll foster!" The sad reality is that our rescue is currently full, but a mother dog and her four puppies are desperately looking for a warm foster home. We also have two other litters of puppies needing a loving, temporary place to call home.

So, what does it mean to foster a dog or a litter of puppies? It means opening up your home and providing a secure, loving place for a dog until they are ready to be adopted. That can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. We provide food and all of their medical care while they are in your home. You provide the love and attention.

Fostering saves lives. It makes a difference. It means a small puppy will be given a second chance at life. And during a time of giving thanks, we are so thankful if this is something you'll consider.

If you're interested in fostering, please email Tiffiny at thebalestreris@comcast.net.
