In the first game against Clayton Valley, both teams pitched well and played solid defense. It just came down to a ball that found a hole for a 4-2 Clayton Valley victory. Jeffery Huettenhain and Umar Farooq pitched well for San Ramon with Alex Murdoch catching.

Tyler Bilse had a diving catch in center to end the seventh and John Niles hit a line drive base hit to right, but San Ramon could not string together enough offense in the bottom of the seventh.

It looked like San Ramon would have a big game at the plate as both TJ Barradas and Jeffery Huettenhain scored for San Ramon in the first. A double steal by Huettenhain and Fischer forced Martinez to balk in a run. That was all the scoring the Slammers could put together.

In game two against Martinez, San Ramon was leading 2-0 when Martinez got hot with a nine-run third inning. Each time the Slammers mounted a comeback, the Martinez defense tightened up and closed the door. Levon Potoukian, Aaron Adams and Logan Fischer pitched well with Jeffrey Huettenhain catching.

Logan Fischer, Garret Cardoza and Umar Farooq drove in runs and John Niles, Eric Pineda and Fischer scored for San Ramon. Zac Page walked to load the bases and a single by Farooq drove in Fischer but a 4-6-3 double play ended the rally. The final score was Martinez 11, San Ramon 3.
