There's a lot of baseball going on this week in the Tri-Valley with the Little League World Series in Livermore.

Meanwhile, the Tri-Valley Babe Ruth 13-year-old All Star team is competing in the Pacific South West Tournament in Vernal, Utah. The team is vying for a spot in the Babe Ruth World Series in August.

The Tri-Valley team won the state championship on July 18 in Alameda.

The team played two games in the tournament on Tuesday. In the first game against Hawaii, they won 7-4, with 16 combined strike-outs from pitching starter Zach Chalmers and reliever Patrick Polcar. AJ Warford hit a two-run home run.
