Tri-Valley Babe Ruth All-Stars Eliminated From World Series

Tri-Valley lost to Greenville, N.C. 4-1 in the semifinals of the World Series on Tuesday.

The Tri-Valley 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars run in the World Series in Kistap, Wash. came to an end on Tuesday night, falling to Greenville, N.C. 4-1 in the semifinals. 

Greenville scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning and Tri-Valley could manage only four hits in the loss.

Tri-Valley took the lead in the bottom half of the fourth inning, with James Cowick scoring on a two-error play.

Cowick pitch a complete game, giving up three earned runs and striking out three.

Greenville pitcher Collin Smith also went the distance, and Tri-Valley could take advantage of six walks by Smith.

Darroch Koel, Jack Morgan, Dante Albanese and Jack Fryer all had a hit for the Tri-Valley.

Greenville will play Bryant, Ark. in the championship game at 6 p.m. tonight.
