About 70 kids last week learned some basketball skills from Harlem Globetrotters at the in San Ramon.
Globetrotters "Dizzy” Grant, Jacob “Hops” Tucker and “Hi Lite” Bruton worked with local young basketball players helping them improve their skills on the court and teaching them a couple tricks.
The San Ramon location was one of three 24 Hour Fitness clubs in the Bay Area that hosted the cool event, and there were about 120 clinics nationwide.
“Like the Harlem Globetrotters, 24 Hour Fitness believes in the importance of keeping our children active through physical activity and sports,” said Randy Drake, senior vice president of fitness and business development for 24 Hour Fitness. “We are excited to be able to offer these unique and entertaining basketball clinics to our members and partner with the iconic Globetrotters.”
