No-Hitter Gives Tri-Valley Babe Ruth All-Stars 2-0 Record at World Series

Darroch Koel pitched in a no-hitter in the Tri-Valley's 6-1 victory over Schereville, Ind. on Friday.

The Tri-Valley 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars are off to a perfect start to the World Series, highlighted by a Darroch Koel no-hitter on Friday, the Kaspen Sun reports.

Koel was a bit wild, walking six and hitting two batters, but didn't give up a hit as Tri-Valley beat Schererville, Ind. 6-1 on Friday.

Dante Albanese led the Tri-Valley offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Jack Fryer and Koel also had two hits in the victory.

Tri-Valley also won its first game on Thursday, beating Monroe Township of New Jersey 5-0.

Tri-Valley next plays on Saturday against Greenville, N.C. at 4 p.m. You can watch the game streaming online here.

Tri-Valley, a team made up of players from Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin and Pleasanton, won the Babe Ruth World Series last year.
