California 42 Amador Valley 28
California High got back on track by defeating Amador Valley High, 42-28
The Dons took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Grizzlies struck back taking a 21-14 lead into the locker room at halftime.
California scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 41-14 lead before Amador Valley added two late scores.
Cal High improves to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in league play.
Amador Valley falls to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in league play.
Monte Vista 12 Foothill 7
In a low-scoring battle, Monte Vista High edged Foothill High, 12-7.
The Falcons held a 7-0 lead at the half, but Monte Vista slipped ahead, 12-7, in the third quarter. The Mustangs' defense shut out Foothill in the final quarter to preserve the win.
Monte Vista is now 5-4 overall and 4-2 in league play.
Foothill is now 3-6 overall and 2-4 in league play.
Alhambra 27 Dougherty Valley 0
Alhambra High broke a four-game losing streak by blanking Doughtery Valley High, 27-0.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-0 halftime lead and cruised from there to victory.
Dougherty Valley fell to 3-6 overall and 0-5 in league play. The Wildcats have lost five in a row.
Alhambra improves to 3-6 overall and 1-4 in league play.
