Dougherty Valley and Carondelet girls advance while Las Lomas boys edge Dublin and Castro Valley boys defeat Monte Vista

Here are some of the scores from Friday night's high school basketball North Coast Section quarterfinals.

BOYS

Division I

De La Salle 71  Heritage 41

Top seeded De La Salle High crushed ninth seeded Heritage High, 71-41, to advance to the semifinals.

The Spartans (25-2) will play at home on Wednesday against fourth seeded Castro Valley High.

De La Salle led 33-21 at halftime and then outscored Heritage, 38-20, in the second half. The Spartans were sparked by their dynamic guard duo of Amadi Udenyl, who scored 23 points, and Elliot Pitts, who poured in 16 points.

Heritage finishes its season at 17-11.

Castro Valley 69  Monte Vista 60

Fourth seeded Castro Valley High downed fifth seeded Monte Vista High, 69-60, to reach the semifinals.

The Trojans (21-6), last year's NCS champions, will travel to De La Salle on Wednesday to face the top seeded Spartans.

Castro Valley used a strong second half to win this game. They were led by senior Dawson Johnson, who scored 35 points, and sophomore Jalen McFerren, who tallied 18 points.

Monte Vista finishes its season at 20-8.

Deer Valley 61  San Leandro 60

Second seeded Deer Valley High edged a tough seventh seeded San Leandro High, 61-60.

Deer Valley (20-7) will play at home in the semifinals Wednesday against third seeded Freedom High.

San Leandro finishes its season at 21-7.

Division II

Las Lomas 58  Dublin 53 (OT)

Fourth seeded Las Lomas High had to go into overtime before finally subduing fifth seeded Dublin High, 58-53.

The Knights (19-9) will play in Wednesday's semifinals against the winner of tomorrow's quarterfinal game between top seeded Newark Memorial High and Mt. Eden High.

The game was close throughout. Las Lomas led 26-22 at half and 40-39 at the end of three quarters.

The Knights were spearheaded by Tyler Fidelbus, who scored 20 points and snatched eight rebounds, and Mahrad Saeedi, who scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Dublin finishes their season at 17-11. Junior guard Jamir Andrews scored 24 points while junior center Eric Nielsen scored nine points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

College Park 73  Concord 59

Third seeded College Park High put away 11th seeded Concord High, 73-59, to advance to the semifinals.

College Park (20-8) will play at second seeded Windsor High in the next round.

Concord led this contest, 18-14, at the end of the first quarter. College Park, however, stormed back to take a 38-26 halftime lead.

The Minutemen cut the margin to 49-43 at the end of the third period before the Falcons put the game away in the fourth quarter.

Concord finishes its season at 18-10. The Minutemen were paced by junior forward Tylek Farley, who scored 15 points and cleared nine rebounds, and senior center Mike Adams, who knocked down 11 points and snared seven rebounds.

GIRLS

Division I

Berkeley 67  Foothill 41

Top seeded Berkeley High dusted eighth seeded Foothill High, 67-41.

Berkeley (24-2) will play at home in the semifinals Wednesday against fifth seeded Heritage High.

The game was tied 24-24 at halftime. Berkeley built up a 48-37 lead at the end of three quarters and then outscored the Falcons 19-4 in the final period.

Foothill finishes its season at 15-13. Senior guard Maddie Craig finished her fine high school career by scoring 20 points. Senior Danielle Lamarche added 11 points.

Heritage 44  Castro Valley 34

Fifth seeded Heritage High defeated fourth seeded Castro Valley High in a defensive battle, 44-34.

Heritage (24-4) plays at number one seed Berkeley High in the semifinals.

Castro Valley led after the first quarter, 12-7, but Heritage bounced back to take a 21-16 lead into halftime. They lengthened margin to 34-23 after three periods.

Castro Valley finishes its season at 20-8. The Trojans were led by senior guard Elena Ala, who scored 13 points and snared nine rebounds.

Deer Valley 52  Amador Valley 40

Second seeded Deer Valley High defeated a tough 10th seeded Amador Valley High squad, 52-40.

Deer Valley (20-7) will play at home in the semifinals against third seeded Mission San Jose.

Deer Valley took a 26-14 lead into halftime, but the Dons closed the gap to 34-33 after three periods before Deer Valley pulled away in the final quarter.

Amador Valley finishes its season at 17-11. They were led by sophomore Courtney Seams, who scored 12 points.

Mission San Jose 48  Monte Vista 47

Third seeded Mission San Jose High edged sixth seeded Monte Vista High, 48-47, in a game that went down to the final seconds.

Mission San Jose (27-2) will travel to Deer Valley High for its semifinal game.

Monte Vista led this contest most of the way. The Mustangs held a 24-19 halftime lead and carried a 35-30 margin into the final period.

However, Mission San Jose closed the gap and won on a basket with 1.2 seconds left.

Monte Vista closes out its season at 22-6. The Mustangs were paced by junior Angela Rigo, who scored 18 points.

Division II

Carondelet 87  Northgate 58

Top seeded Carondelet High demolished eighth seeded Northgate High, 87-58.

The Cougars (24-3) will play at home against fifth seeded Alameda High on Wednesday in the semifinals.

Carondelet led 24-9 at the end of the first quarter and 50-20 at halftime. Forward Hannah Huffman scored 20 points while guard Natalie Romeo knocked down 15 points.

Northgate finishes its season at 15-13. Guard Meghan Blough scored 27 points while fellow guard Greer Kleber poured in 23 points and snared 14 rebounds.

Dougherty Valley 69  Montgomery 40

Second seeded Dougherty Valley High rolled into the semifinals with a convincing 69-40 victory over seventh seeded Montgomery High.

The Wildcats (20-8) will play at third seeded Casa Grande High on Wednesday.

Dougherty Valley lead 34-13 at halftime and cruised to victory. They were led by senior forward Caroline Hughes, who scored 19 points and had nine blocks, and senior center Treyvonna Brooks, who knocked down 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Montgomery finishes its season at 22-8.

Casa Grande 53  Dublin 47

Third seeded Casa Grande High edged past sixth seeded Dublin High, 53-47.

Casa Grande (29-1) will host second seeded Dougherty Valley in Wednesday's semi-final.

Dublin finishes its season at 18-9.
