Give it a Tri

Forward Motion Race Club's 2nd annual New Triathlete Program kicks-off Thursday, April 1 at 7 p.m. with an informational meeting at Forward Motion Sports located at 432 Hartz Avenue in Danville.

The program is designed specifically for people who want to complete a triathlon but don't quite know where to get started. It is also appropriate for those who have completed a Tri for Fun and found themselves muttering "Oh my G...od, Oh my God, Oh my God" the whole time.

Come learn how your first or next race can be approached with confidence!

Training begins the week of May 3 to prepare participants for the Tri for Real Sprint Distance Triathlon (700 yard swim, 18 mile bike ride, 4 mile run) on September 19th at Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton.

Janet Tsuji, who completed the program last year says, "This is an AWESOME program and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do a triathlon but isn't sure they could do it. And...the by-product is you make some great friends along the way!!! I had a blast!!!"

Prerequisites for participation in the program includes membership in Forward Motion Race Club ($60), a program fee (TBD) and the ability to swim 25 yards. Swimming breaststroke is adequate. The program will be limited to 25 participants and registration will open mid-April.
