Cancer Awareness Soccer Tournament Raises Around $8,000

The money will be spent to help Breezy Bochenek and others fighting Osteosarcoma

About 60 teams participated, but there was only one loser from the inaugural 4v4  Cancer Awareness Tournament at Dougherty Valley High on Wednesday — cancer.

Kids ranging in ages from under-9 to under-18 played soccer and raised around $8,000 to help 10-year-old Brianne "Breezy" Bochenek and others who are in a fight against Osteosarcoma.

Grant Matsumoto, who was the tournament director, and Dougherty Valley soccer coach Omar Cervantes organized the event.
