Accomplishments: When she reflects on her educational experience, what makes Saundrya the proudest is her involvement in school leadership. She wants to make a difference at Cal High and help enrich the lives of her fellow students. Saundrya is a born leader who understands different perspectives and appreciates diversity.
“Thanks to all the opportunities I have been offered and seized here at Cal High I have grown as an individual and leader and have truly realized who I am," she said. "Whether it was running for ASB President, participating in clubs like Model United Nations, or just striving to keep up with all my AP classes, experience changed me for the better.”

One aspect of Saundrya’s life some people might be surprised to learn is that she is a fashion designer who designs clothes for men and women. This is a talent she has been improving at since fifth grade, and last year even entered her drawings for the Business Roundtable Event and came in first place!
On the weekends, Saundrya can be found at the mall with her friends. She also enjoys spending time with her own family and friends of her family. Of course, catching up on sleep is also essential for this busy teen!
Outside of her academic achievements, she is the Chair of the San Ramon Teen Council and the Student Commissioner on the Parks and Community Commission for the City of San Ramon. She actually enjoys attending the meetings twice a week, knowing she has an important role in decision making in the community we live in. She also tutors fellow students.
Future goals: College application time is approaching for Saundrya. She would like to stay in California and will apply to many of our wonderful UC campuses. She also plans to apply to some smaller private schools. Saundrya plans to major in Economics and Environmental Sciences/Engineering.
In 20 years, at the ripe young age of 36, she can easily see herself working at the United Nations to make the world a more peaceful place. She’d also relish the chance to own and run her own small fashion boutique, selling her own designs. Talk about having the best of both worlds!
