Accomplishments: What makes Gwen most proud? Hands down, it is that she continues to get good grades, even after transitioning to middle school.
Gwen fondly remembers those early experiences she had in school, too. She can easily recall her field trip to the Marin Headlands in Mrs. Clore’s first grade classroom. This was her first overnight field trip, and when she awoke the next morning there were deer grazing outside the window.

In addition to her academics, Gwen’s outside interests include art and dance. She loves to doodle for fun. She performed at her elementary school’s talent show every year and is not at all fearful of being onstage.
Future plans and inspirations: Since she was a young child, Gwen has actively participated in dance. She plans to become a professional dancer even though she says, “I know that might not be a good career to rely on.”
Even as a sixth grader, she is thinking ahead and realizing that she will also pursue becoming a teacher or some other job working with children in case her dance career doesn’t work out.
For Gwen, Julliard is her dream school. Who knows, though? She may opt to stay closer to California when the time comes to apply to schools. She still has several years ahead before that decision needs to be made.
