VIDEO: Slimed for Education
Neil Armstrong Elementary School students helped raise thousands of dollars at a recent school fundraiser. As a reward, they got to dump a bucket of slime on their principal.
Six weeks ago, Neil Armstrong Elementary School Principal Lorna Monteith gave her students a choice of three prizes if they raised more than $15,000 at their first-ever walk-a-thon fundraiser for education.
They could witness their prinipal dye her hair blue, dress in a Halloween costume or get five gallons of slime dumped on her.
Her students overwhelmingly chose the latter.

So when they raised not $15,000, but $18,000 at the inaugural walk-a-thon. Plus, they walked a combined total of 1,400 miles. So obliging her students with their chosen reward was the least Monteith could do.
On Wednesday, dressed in a polo shirt and encouraged by the excited cheers of her students, Monteith submitted to the sliming. We were there to capture the moment.
