Venture School students and their friends and families gathered at Canyon View Dining Hall on June 16 to celebrate the graduating class of 2010.
Venture, located in San Ramon next to Dougherty Valley High School, offers San Ramon, Danville and other students from the San Ramon Valley School District a curriculum centered around independent study. This curriculum gives students the freedom to customize their education and many students choose to take classes at local community colleges while attending Venture.
Speakers at the ceremony included students Roya Garakani and Austin Kimball and guest speaker Dr. Bill Harlan, Shakespeare professor at Diablo Valley College in San Ramon.
Diplomas were awarded by Greg Marvel and Rob Stockberger of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
