San Ramon Schools to Receive Foundation Grants

Seventeen San Ramon schools will receive thousands in grants from San Ramon Valley Education Foundation.

The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation announced today that it's awarding more than $87,000 in grant funds to district schools for the 2010-2011 school year.

Seventeen San Ramon schools will receive grants for a variety of purchases and programs, ranging from carbon dioxide sensors at Pine Valley Middle School to hands-on science at Bollinger Canyon Elementary.

"The partnership we have with the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation is critical for us," said Steve Enoch, Superintendent of Schools for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. "Particularly during these economic times, to provide nearly $90,000 to our schools and teachers is nothing short of amazing."
