In a final attempt to urge folks to vote, about half the school — 250 students — filled the blacktop to perform to Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Good Time." They learned the entire performance during lunch Wednesday afternoon. Even San Ramon Mayor Bill Clarkson showed up to dance in support.

Hamilton Erridge has two daughters currently attending Walt Disney Elementary. He said parents have taken the competition very seriously in hopes of getting the extra resources for the school.

"It's almost crazy the amount of phone calling that's been done," he said. "It does show how tight the network is among the parents."
