Incorrect! Sombrero sold in May 2012 .
Please get the word out that homes are are selling very quickly, with multiple offers and above asking. if a house has not sold, it's priced too high. We have many buyers looking for homes! If you're think of selling, now is the time! Rachael Hand, Realtor, Coldwell Banker

I was wondering who fact-checked this story...It not only sold in May 2012, it sold for $601,500 which is quite a bit less than the median the story is talking about.

This month the average sold price of a house (not condo or townhome) is about $785,000 with 2420 sq ft. That is $324 sq ft. For the entire past year the average is $748,000 and has 4 bedrooms, 2530 sq. ft. That is $295.76 per sq ft. Sombrero sold for $601,500 with 1972 sq ft which is $305 sq ft. It had good views, but a smaller yard. The point of all this data is that you have to go to the source (A Realtor/Broker) and that the online sites do not have accurate information. The point of an on line site is to drive people to the website so they can sell more ad space. Get to know a Realtor and I am sure they would be happy to share additional data and help you buy or sell a home. We really are selling houses faster and at higher prices than the past several years. Feel free to contact me if you want further information. rachael.hand@cbnorcal.com.

Hello, readers:
Thanks for the valuable input here. We will be using more websites for our weekly stories here as well as checking information more carefully to make sure a home that is listed as "for sale" on these sites is actually for sale.

I too just noticed the sign. I'm wondering if they just recently changed the picture which is whyRead More we are all just noticing it if indeed it truly has been there since the 80s.......I certainly hope that it is an old sign and that this is not the beginning of other billboard signs lining our 680 corridor.
