Cost Per Square Foot: Homes In San Ramon That Have A Higher Price Tag

You get what you pay for, the old saying goes.

That's true for homes as much as anything.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look this week at houses that cost more per square foot that most homes in their area.

There are a lot of reasons for the higher price tag. Location is probably the main reason. There can also be amenities as well as the size of the yard.

In San Ramon, this two-bedroom, one-bathroom house at 6351 Johnston Road is listed at $3.9 million.

It's 1,462 square feet, which means its cost more than $2,701 per square foot.

The listing notes there are two old homes on the property, which is just off Tassajara Road. It says there's "great potential" for this land.
