Tuesday's a 'Spare the Air' Day, Too
The air district says unhealthy levels of smog are expected Tuesday as well, making it the second alert day this week.
Seniors, children and folks with breathing difficulties should stay indoors this week – unhealthy smog levels caused air officials two "Spare the Air" warnings this week.
Today and Tuesday both are spare-the-air days. So seniors, children and folks with trouble breathing should stay indoors. And everyone is encouraged to cut down on polluting activities like driving and curb overall energy use.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District issues the alerts. Tuesday's marks the sixth alert of the year.
