Local High School Grad, Marine Combat Veteran, Trains for Another Deployment

Lance Cpl. Jordon Dorrance, 21, enlisted with the Marines in an early entry program before he graduated from San Ramon Valley High in 2010. Dorrance was with his infantry squad Monday Jan. 21 during an exercise at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms.

The Fat Cactus Grill and Bar in San Ramon has closed, according to a Jan. 16 post on their Facebook page. The Mexican restaurant, which had almost 150 mixed reviews on Yelp, will be reopening as Maui Burger Company.

Dublin Police shot and wounded a 28-year-old man they said was wielding a large "Rambo-style" knife on Friday morning. A neighbor says this is not the first time the suspect, who police identified as Ryan Cox, has been in the street with a knife. Watch the video of the neighbor describing the scene Friday morning.
