Should You Switch to Solar? Find Out in Free City Workshop

Here's something to do after you vote on election day: The City of San Ramon and Sustainable San Ramon will host a free solar energy workshop for homeowners and home buyers on Tuesday, June 5, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Looking for ways to trim your monthly PG&E bill? Wondering if it’s time to “go solar”?

San Ramon homeowners can find out if installing solar electric systems is a good choice for their homes during a free workshop presented by the City of San Ramon and Sustainable San Ramon.

“Solar Energy: Is It Right For You?” takes place on Tuesday, June 5, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the (Fountain Room).

Presenter Yuet Lee, a local independent clean tech consultant, will walk participants through the energy-saving and cost-saving benefits as well as some of the challenges of solar electric (photovoltaic) systems.

Homeowners can also learn about federal and state incentives, explore different financing options and find out what to consider before having a solar electric system installed.

Local solar contractors will be invited to speak with interested homeowners after the workshop. (These aren’t endorsed by the sponsors.)

The free event is provided as a public service by Sustainable San Ramon, a local community nonprofit organization, and the City of San Ramon.
