San Ramon Looking for Teen Council Applicants

The Teen Council advocates for teen issues, volunteers for numerous City events and plans special activities for teens. The application process is open until March 1.

The City of San Ramon invites you to apply for the Teen Council and lead the way for your age group and make a difference for teens in San Ramon.

The Teen Council is a 21 member committee appointed by the City Council to make recommendations to the City of San Ramon staff, Parks and Community Services Commission and City Council on the delivery of teen programs, facilities, activities, services and policies.

In addition the Teen Council advocates for teen issues, volunteers for numerous City events and plans special activities for teens.

SELECTION PROCESS
An initial screening of applications may occur based upon the number of applications submitted. The Teen Council application should be typed but is not required. Applications are available at all San Ramon Community Centers, City Hall, or online from our website at www.sanramon.ca.gov or www.SRTeen.org.

Applications should be accompanied by:

  • Essay, one page, double spaced, typed in 12 point font, 500 words maximum
  • Resume (optional)
  • One reference (from an educator, community leader [scout leader, coach, cleric, or volunteer leader], employer or a personal reference)

Please review the application and make sure to turn it into the City Clerk's office at 2226 Camino Ramon by March 1, 2013 at 5pm. Applications will only be accepted at the City Clerk's Office and no late applications will be accepted under any circumstance.
