Further Public Discussion for Faria Park Project

Today's meeting will address concerns about parking and field lighting for the City's proposed park.

Following last month's public hearing on the Faria Preserve Project, a meeting will be held Wednesday to review parking and lighting plans for the proposed community park.

The project, which would be located on part of the 440-acre site north of Crow Canyon Road and east of Bollinger Canyon Road, includes a community park, sports fields and public facilities.

The public hearing in August drew members of nearby neighborhoods concerned about the field lighting (which would be on as late at 10 p.m.) and potential parking issues.

The request for additional information was requested from the landscape architect, to be discussed in Wednesday's meeting.

In addition to the public meetings, Karen McNamara, Parks & Community Services Director, has welcomed public input through emails and phone calls.

There have been no revisions to the park site master plan since the August meeting.

The public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 2222 Camino Ramon.
