The Sept. 25 event will include questions to the city council hopefuls from audience members.

Candidates up for the two City Council seats in San Ramon's November election will have the opportunity to discuss issues in an upcoming forum at the city's library on Sept. 25.

The forum, cooperatively sponsored by the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce and others, will take questions from the audience. Start time is at 7:30 p.m. and will run for an hour.

Four candidates are running for two City Council seats in the Nov. 5 election, and Mayor Bill Clarkson is running unopposed.

The two council seats include that of the incumbent Dave Hudson, who seeks re-election, and Jim Livingstone, 70, who is leaving his post in November.

Other candidates up for the seat is Planning Commissioner Harry Sachs; "political-newcomer" and active school volunteer Rene Matsumoto, featured in the San Ramon Express earlier this month; and San Ramon resident and Pleasanton attorney Thomas von Thury, also featured in the San Ramon Express.
