Should Former Mayor Abram Wilson be Allowed to Run in November Election?

Despite the city charter rules, former San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson may seek a third term.

Former San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson took out nomination papers this month in what may be a bid to get his old job back when voters go to the polls in November, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Abram Wilson's move has rankled the incumbent, Bill Clarkson, who says that the city charter clearly prohibits anyone from serving more than two terms as mayor.

According to the Contra Costa voting website, the nomination period closes on August 9.

What do you think? Should former Mayor Abram Wilson be able to run in the November election?
