You Can Now Drive Faster on 10 San Ramon Streets

Mayor Bill Clarkson said the council had to raise the speed limits to comply with state regulations.

The San Ramon City Council reluctantly raised the speed limit on 10 roadways last month.

All five members voted in favor changing the speed limit, though they expressed frustration they needed to do so because if they didn't they wouldn't be complying with state regulations, Mayor Bill Clarkson said.

About 50 signs will be replaced and it will cost about $5,000.
