City Meets Thursday with Canyon Park HOA on Police Station Relocation

City officials open talks to mitigate concerns surrounding police station relocation to Crow Canyon Road

To the chagrin of dozens of Canyon Park residents, San Ramon City Council members in a 3-1 vote on March 9 approved the purchase of an office building at 2401 Crow Canyon Road to house police operations currently spread across the city.

Although the city remains firm in its plans to move forward with the police station relocation, the city's Economic Development Director Marc Fontes has scheduled a meeting tomorrow night to address the concerns of the Canyon Park Home Owners Association (HOA) and discuss how they may be mitigated. Members of the San Ramon Police Department will take part in the conversation.

Over the last few days, the city has been working with Dennis Rohere, president of the HOA, to inform and invite residents who voiced discontent at the March 9 meeting or have e-mailed city officials regarding the issue.

The informal public meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the police training facility, 3150 Crow Canyon Place, Suite 160.

Fontes said he expects the March 18 meeting will be the first of a series of meetings with the HOA.
