City Looking to Hire New Police Officer

A new job ad was posted today on the city website.

There's a hiring freeze, yes, but the city's making an exception for a couple positions. Just posted today on the city's website: A job ad for a police officer.

Applicants have to be at least 21 years old, a graduate of a police academy and meet some physical strength requirements listed on the city website.

The 37.5 hour-a-week job pays $6,598 to $8,247 monthly. If hired, the candidate would join 58 other sworn officers in the department.

Initial interviews will begin in November and applications have to be sent by Oct. 289 to jobs@sanramon.ca.gov.
