City Council Hopefuls Speak to Residents Today

BY JANE McINNIS

Four candidates up for two City Council seats in San Ramon's November election will have the opportunity to discuss issues in a forum at the city's library today, Sept. 25.

San Ramon residents have the opportunity to hear from candidates and ask them questions.

The forum will be held at the San Ramon Public Library at 100 Montgomery Street.

Start time is at 7:30 p.m. and will run for an hour.

The event, presented by the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley, AAUW San Ramon and the Chamber of Commerce, works to bridge voters to candidates.

Four candidates are running for two City Council seats in the Nov. 5 election, and Mayor Bill Clarkson is running unopposed.

Other candidates up for the seat is Planning Commissioner Harry Sachs; "political-newcomer" and active school volunteer Rene Matsumoto, featured in the San Ramon Express earlier this month; and San Ramon resident and Pleasanton attorney Thomas von Thury, also featured in the San Ramon Express.

: Wednesday September 25, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: San Ramon Public Library Meeting Room, 100 Montgomery Street
