Residents from San Ramon have a chance to meet with California assembly member Joan Buchanan (D-Alamo) at a Thanksgiving open house at her offices in San Ramon on Nov. 18.
Residents from the 16th Assembly are invited to discuss and voice legislative concerns, according to the Pleasanton Weekly.
Light refreshments will be provided, and they will be collecting canned goods for local food banks.
Recently, Gov. Jerry Brown signed Buchanan's AB 620 bill that requires care facilities for the elderly and disabled adults to develop plans of notifying family and law enforcement when an individual under their care goes missing.
