Art Advisory Committee 'Huddles Up' to Decide Words for Public Art Piece

The five words that describe 'teamwork' will be decided for the public art piece installation today.

The sports park public art “Huddle Up” words submitted by the public will be approved Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Parks & Community Services Conference Room.

The City of San Ramon asked residents to consider the most important sports values for the sculpture in June.

Five of the suggestions collected online will be inscribed onto the public art piece that will be installed at the San Ramon Sports Park in the fall, according to the city website.

"Huddle Up" is described as an abstract piece that symbolizes three team members huddled together to talk about the values of San Ramon Sports. Council members approved the installation of the art piece in June.

The sports values will be inscribed in the sphere in the center, according to city documents, and the sculpture, which will stand between 12 and 16 feet tall, will be made of steel.
