Teen Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Looking for Suspects

Police say a teen trying to buy drugs was robbed at gunpoint in Village Green Park last week.

Authorities are looking for two men who robbed a teenager last week in what police say was a drug deal gone bad.

The teen was looking to buy some marijuana from a dealer he didn’t know, who was supposedly from Dublin, police said.

The dealer picked up the teen in a black, two-door Toyota and told him that they would go pick up the drugs, according to San Ramon police Lt. Dan Pratt.

The suspect then drove the teen to Village Green Park off of Triana Way shortly after 10 p.m. March 29.

The victim said that when he got out of the car, another suspect who was hiding in the trunk popped out and pulled a gun on him.

The driver and the second suspect punched and robbed the teen of his backpack and cell phone before driving off, Pratt said.

The victim had no injuries and was treated by San Ramon firefighters on the scene and released, according to Pratt. He wasn't cited and won't face any charges.

Police didn't release the name and age of the victim because he's a minor.

The driver was described as a male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds with light skin and close-cropped hair.

The suspect who hid in the trunk and assaulted the teen was described as a male in his early 20s, 5-foot-10 with a thin build and weighing about 140 pounds. His race is unknown, but the victim said he had a crew cut and wore baggy pants and a black sweater.
