Two men who pimped underage girls out of a San Ramon condo were sentenced to prision on Friday in Pittsburg, the Contra Costa Times reported.
Duwan Fields, 33, of San Ramon was found guilty last month of two counts of pimping a minor prostitute and one count of unlawful sex with a 16-year-old. He was sentenced to eight years, four months in prison.
Working with Fields was Claudiens Griffin, 21, who was sentenced to three years, eight months in prison.
The three victims were 13, 16 and 17 and were runaways from a Sacramento foster care center. The girls were pimped to men in Contra Costa, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Mateo counties for eight days in April 2009.
The Contra Costa Times quoted a victim, identified as Jane Doe No. 2, speaking to the court:
The thought of doing it for the rest of my life scared the crap out of me. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through it.
Griffin made a short statement at the sentencing, apologizing for his actions. Fields did not make a statement.
