San Ramon Bank Robbed

The Fremont Bank on San Ramon Valley Boulevard was robbed shortly before closing. Suspect fled the bank and has not been caught.

A man robbed the Fremont Bank on San Ramon Valley Blvd. late this afternoon and then fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The robber, described as a white male in his 40s with a goatee, handed the teller a demand note at 4:56 p.m., minutes before the bank closed, said San Ramon Police Sgt. Tom Larocque.

Police responded when the bank teller activated a silent alarm.

The teller told police that she did not see a weapon. No one was injured.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
