“The most important tip is to never leave anything in plain sight inside your vehicle,” said LaRocque. “Do not leave any type of bag in view and be discreet when securing items in the trunk. Plan ahead and don’t do it when you have already arrived at your parking location.”
LaRocque says you must lock your doors and keep the windows rolled up.

According to LaRocque, you can be a victim anywhere.
“All it takes is ten seconds,” he said. “They break the window, grab the stuff and walk away.”
LaRocque says that although there is no specific suspect information, San Ramon Police are actively investigating the recent burglaries and are providing extra patrol to the areas hardest hit.
LaRocque recommends residents try to be aware and if you notice anything suspicious, call San Ramon Police immediately.
“Write down the plate, vehicle description and any suspect information but stay away and be safe,” he said. “Simply be a good witness and call the police.”
