By Bay City News—

Police interrupted a burglary in progress at a San Ramon elementary school early this morning and arrested two men who allegedly stole more than 50 electronics from a locked classroom.

Officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to an alarm at Walt Disney Elementary School at 3250 Pine Valley Road and spotted flashlight beams around the front of the campus, according to police.

Police said officers found one suspect, identified as 18-year-old Malik Bailey of Suisun, hiding behind a pillar near the school cafeteria.

A police K-9 was used to track down the second suspect, who had fled to the rear of the campus.

Officers located that suspect, identified as San Francisco resident Emanuel Salinas, 20, according to police.

Police said during their search for Salinas, officers also found three duffel bags loaded with more than 32 Apple iPad tablets, 19 MacBook laptops and a Mac mini computer as well as three crowbars and a set of bolt cutters.

Investigators learned that the suspects broke into the school's Technology Center where they used bolt cutters to open locked storage cabinets and grabbed the electronics.

Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary. Salinas was also arrested for alleged parole violation.

The pair was taken to county jail in Martinez.
