Original story:

Friends of a 31-year-old man from Pleasant Hill have been searching for him since Friday afternoon.

Jason Adams was last seen in the area of San Ramon on Friday morning, according to Pleasant Hill Police.

Adams was believed to have been headed to Dublin or Pleasanton in a truck when he was last seen.

According to an employee at Sola Salon located in the Home Depot shopping center Pleasanton, a female friend of Adams came by the salon Friday afternoon asking if any of the employees had seen Adams or his unique truck earlier in the day as they believed he was driving to the home improvement store at 6000 Johnson Drive to hire some of the day laborers to help him with a project in San Ramon.

Adams is described as a white male. He is 6-foot-1-inch tall and weighs about 155 pounds. Adams was wearing jeans, a dark t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

Pleasant Hill Police Sergeant Scott Vermillion says Adams is listed as an "at risk" missing adult because Adams' family is adamant the disappearance is very out-of-character for Adams. Adams has never been reported as missing before.

Pleasant Hill Police released the following information about Adams' disappearance:

Adams was reported missing by his family on the afternoon of Friday 5-16-2014. Per family Adams was going to a home improvement store in the Pleasanton/Dublin/San Ramon area prior to beginning a construction project. He checked in at the project site in San Ramon at 9:00 am prior to leaving for the hardware store.

He was last seen driving his off-white 1972 International Harvester pickup, which has a quad cab and long bed. The license plate is personalized, CA 1LONGIH. It is unknown if he made it to the hardware store.

He never returned home to Pleasant Hill later that night.
