Bank Robbery Suspect Caught

Robbery suspect was arrested in Washington Tuesday night

The man suspected of robbing the Fremont Bank in San Ramon Friday afternoon is now behind bars.

Gregory Cunha, 45, was arrested in Clark County, Washington, at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night, said San Ramon Police Detective Bill Doherty.

After several witnesses helped San Ramon police identify the suspect, Doherty secured an arrest warrant and contacted a sheriff's department in Washington. Sheriff's deputies then arrested the Washington resident at his home without incident.

Doherty said that police also suspect Cunha of committing the U.S. Bank robbery in Danville on April 28.

Cunha is in custody on $120,000 bail.
